Guest Lecture on Augmented Reality & Internet of Things

Mr. Suyash Joshi is a senior member of technical staff at Oracle in California, USA. He works at Oracle on  Mobile Cloud Computing solutions for IoT, AR/VR, and Artificial Intelligent Chatbots. He is regarded as  Intel Innovator for his research and is a frequent speaker at international conferences academic institutions worldwide. Suyash Joshi received his BS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing his MS in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta,  Georgia USA.  

In this lecture, you will learn about the current state of two breakthrough technologies that are promising be too huge in 2018 and beyond. Augmented Reality combined with IOT (Smart Devices) will make connected devices not only intelligent but also easily accessible to a wide number of users. This lecture will cover fundamental concepts of these two technologies followed by several case studies and hands-on live demo of applications using Amazon Alexa and mobile AR. The format will be interactive, entertaining and educational.  

Following the lecture, there will be a question and answer session and Mr. Suyash Joshi will be happy to answer any questions including sharing career tips etc.

Department of Fashion Design GEHU, associated with Times of India for a Mega Show - HANDLOOM & KHADI FASHION SHOW 2018 at Nainital - Chalet House, Nainital Club on 20th January 2018.The budding designers presented two collections with Khadi and Uttarakhand as inspiration. The Chief Guest for the day was Mr. S C Nautiyal - Add. Director DIC, Uttarakhand. Mr. Nautiyal appreciated the work of the students and gave them good wishes. Huge applauds from the audience boosted the confidence of the students all the more. The Department of Fashion Design was awarded a certificate of appreciation for being Design Partner and actively participating in the event.
