Cultural and technical exchanges and internships at Graphic Era Hill University throughout the year provide an opportunity to the graduate and post graduate students of GEHU to develop their inter-personal and professional skills on a global level.

Some of the benefits of such cultural and educational interactions and internships are as listed below:

  • Better understanding ‘Cultural Paradigms’: Young graduates get an opportunity to immerse themselves in an environment filled with new customs and an entirely different culture that is completely unique to their host country which enables them to acquire knowledge in beyond the bounds of a ‘conventional’ classroom and truly ‘globalize’ themselves.
  • Lingual Benefits: It further enables a young graduate to acquire knowledge of a foreign language which aids in personal and professional growth.
  • Getting the Edge in an Interview & the Corporate: Employers often look for students who challenge themselves and learn from their experiences. The experiences and wisdom they acquire while being abroad can give them plenty of examples and real-life situations to integrate into an interview to better illustrate their strengths and work ethic. It helps the student to integrate their cross-cultural and international skills on the resume and cover letter too.

Last but definitely NOT the Least- the Experience of a lifetime - The learning is for a lifetime and we, at GEHU, promote universal access of the education among the students with the knowledge, confidence and requisite skills, act as a positive reinforcement in the era of globalization.

12 Students of GEHU namely, Lavanshi Anand, Rajat Sharma, Jasmine Kaur, Sourabh Joshi, Amandeep, Rahul Bhardwaj, Yash Gupta, Ivjyot Kaur, Inderdeep Singh, Inderpreet Singh and Rajat Kapri were offered a month long internship in Cairo, Egypt; Tomsk, Russia and Italy facilitated by AIESEC.

At GEHU, one gets to learn foreign languages directly from trainers from the respective country.

Graphic Era Hill University offered a 3 month beginner' level course in Mandarin, a dialect spoken in Northern regions of China, which started in  September 3, 2014. This course became the first of its kind in the entire state of Uttarakhand.

Graphic Era Hill University has additionally started French and German Language courses in the academic year 2015.

Let us hear what some GEHU students had to say:

"It was a life-changing experience- as my project was on Business Development, my primary job responsibilities were to prepare presentations & make conference notes. Additionally, CEJB Association, the organization that I was associated with required me to do research work on the education system of different countries and write abstracts for the same. This experience completely changed my life. Thank you to AIESEC and special thanks to Graphic Era Hill University for giving me this opportunity !"

Lavanshi Anand (B Com Hons 2013-15)

"I was introduced to these international internships via GEHU’s various seminars and talks and through my friends as well. During my internship I got to work with the Rasala Charity which is the leading volunteer-based organization in Egypt- my project was in “Poverty Alleviation”. In the course of this project, I also visited several orphanages and elder care housing facilities. I thank GEHU for this enlightening experience."

Yash Gupta (B.Com Hons 2013-15)
