Program Details:

BA in (Journalism and Mass Communication) provides opportunities to students to study variety of subjects in the filed of mass communications ranging from print, online, web and broadcast media. Spread over six semester in duration of 3 years, BA(JMC) gives a hands on training in reporting, writing, broadcasting, films and critical thinking inorder to create media professionals who are at par with the media industry. The program follows CBCS(Choice Based Credit System) which encourages inter-disciplinary approach allowing student to choose any subject of their choice offered by various departments.This allows students to get a Major degree in Journalism and Mass Communications along with a Minor degree in their chosen subject.

Post Graduate Programmes

Program Details:

It is a two year course which trains masters students in various domains of mass communication like print journilism, elctronic journilism, radio, advertising, Public relations, and event management . Special emphasis is given on research in communication studies and students are encouraged to write research paper. Spread over four semesters the course provides an opportunity for students to get hands on training on various subjects and write a dissertation on their chosen field of specialisation.

Doctoral Programmes

Eligibility Master’s Degree from any AIU/UGC/AICTE recognized University/ Institutions or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study notified from time to time by the University. A minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination (50% marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale for SC/ST candidates).
