B. Tech CSE or B.Tech CST?

Computer Science Technology tends to put emphasis on the mathematical foundations, but that includes algorithms and hence programming — primarily at the application level. Usually, there is not much hardware in computer science technology.

In contrast, computer science engineering generally should involve understanding, designing, and optimizing not only what the hardware and software aspects of computing systems are, but also how they interact. Thus, it includes material from both computer science and electrical engineering and is close to being a double major. However, the emphasis is on things like logic design, computer architecture, compilers, operating systems, and embedded computing systems (interfacing computers inside other devices).

  • Computer Engineering focuses on computing in all forms, from microprocessors to embedded computing devices to laptop and desktop systems to supercomputers. Doctoral Programmes

Eligibility Master’s Degree from any AIU/UGC/AICTE recognized University/ Institutions or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study notified from time to time by the University. A minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination (50% marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale for SC/ST candidates).
