Venue: GEHU, Bhimtal campus
Other requirements: Nationality of any country with valid travel documents.
Unit I: Indian Diversity
A brief history of India. Modern Indian Government system. Modern Indian Economy. Indian Society: its structure and diversity (Social classes)
Unit II: Indian Culture
The diverse Indian culture: Mythology, Beliefs, Traditions and Festivals. Food across the sub-continent.
Unit III: Hindi-Everyday conversation
Familiarity with the languages of the country. Lessons in everyday conversation in Hindi
Unit IV: Experiential Learning
This will include activities which may include the following: Activities of Eco Club, Cultural club and other celebrations/ activities happening at the University. Visit to University Agri-farm. Visit to nearby government schools. Visits to all Schools/ departments of the University.
